US President Donald Trump plans to run for 2020 elections and has hired Brad Parscale, digital media director of his 2016 campaign, to run his re-election bid, the campaign announced on Tuesday. Trumps son, Eric, described Parscale as an "amazing talent" who was "pivotal to our success in 2016." "He has our familys complete trust and is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign," he said in a release from the campaign. Parscale had never worked in politics before joining the Trump campaign in 2015. He had worked for the Trump Organization for several years designing websites and helping develop digital strategy for Trump businesses. Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, said in a statement: "Brad was essential in bringing a disciplined technology and data-driven approach to how the 2016 campaign was run. His leadership and expertise will be help build a best-in-class campaign." Though not surprising, Trumps announcement of candidacy for the 2020 elections at this very early stage raises many questions. Trumps choice of Parscale in 2020 means that he will rely on social media more than Republican partys old strategies. Analysts believe Trumps choice of a digital media expert means he wants to ensure that there will not be any attempts to pirate his campaign, especially amid the ongoing debate over Russias intervention in the 2016 election.
