Sarah Essam is the first Egyptian woman to play in the Premier League. "Yes, Im a girl, and my family was against my ambitions," Sarah told the BBC. "But now I fulfilled my dream by officially joining the Stoke City, which plays in the highest division of the Premier League.” Before joining Stoke City, many other English clubs announced that they would like Sara to join their team, as she can play in more than one position such as striker, midfielder and right winger. The footballer underwent some tests, and trained with some of those big clubs such as Derby County, Birmingham and Sunderland, but she has finally signed by Stoke City. Besides football, Sara is also studying for her academic degree.
