Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, met in London on Thursday with Archbishop Justin Welby. The Crown Prince received Birmingham Quran manuscript, which is written in ink on parchment, using an Arabic Hijazi script. During the meeting at Lambeth Palace, they stressed the important role of different faiths and cultures in promoting tolerance, and renouncing violence, extremism and terrorism, and achieving security and peace for the peoples of the region and the world. The meeting was attended by Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir; and British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Simon Collis. Also Thursday, the Crown Prince met with several members of the British parliament representing different parties. During the meeting, they reviewed relations of friendship between Saudi Arabia and the UK in different fields, and ways to improve them.
