CAIRO: A shoe was hurled at former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as he was about to begin addressing a gathering in Lahore on Sunday, local reports have said. As soon as Sharif reached the podium to deliver a speech at a ceremony he was attending at Jamia Naeemia, a man hurled a shoe and hit him between his neck and shoulder, according to The Express Tribune. Though visibly shaken, Sharif was unhurt and carried on with his speech but only to thank the organizers.
