Saudi Arabia Allocates Over 21,000 Housing, Financing Products

The Saudi Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund launched the third batch of the “Sakani” housing program for the year 2018, with a total of 21,727 residential and financial products distributed throughout the Kingdom. This comes within the target of the program to launch 300,000 products, amounting the total allocated during the first three months to 42,241 residential and financial products. During the press conference held on Thursday, the ministry explained the details of the products and their geographical distribution. It noted that this installment includes the allocation of 6,296 housing units under construction (to be sold from the map) in partnership with real estate developers as 232 units will be constructed in Riyadh, 5,401in Makkah and 663 units in the Eastern Province. It also includes 8,300 mortgage loans from the Real Estate Development Fund in partnership with banks and financial institutions, distributed throughout the Kingdom with 2,189 units in Riyadh, 1,346 units in Makkah, 706 in Madina, 724 in Qassim, 1,014 in the eastern region, 609 in Asir, 299 in Tabuk, 308 in Ha’il, 234 in the northern borders, 169 in Jizan, 311 in Najran, 163 in al-Bahah and 228 in Jawf. In addition to that, 5,347 lands will be distributed throughout the Kingdom with 414 in Makkah, 2,000 in Madina, 2,299 in Jizan, 80 in Ha’il and 554 in the northern borders. The installment includes 1,784 ready-made units distributed as follows: 787 in Riyadh, 136 in Qassim, 93 in the eastern region, 768 in Jizan in addition to 5,347 developed lands in five areas all provided free of charge to the beneficiaries. CEO of the National Housing Company Eng. Mohammed bin Saleh al-Bati explained that the program continues to provide more housing options for the beneficiaries. He pointed out that the program also continues its policy of increasing the allocation by adding more products on a monthly basis. The increase in this installment compared to the previous ones is 2.3 percent. He said that in conjunction with the allocation of this batch, there are 13 exhibitions for booking and inspection in a number of Saudi areas through which the ministry aims to provide various options for the beneficiaries from the housing support.
