The Saudi General Authority for Culture organized the Saudi Cultural Days at a number of American universities in Los Angeles on the sidelines of the current visit to the United States by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday. The two-day event that concluded Monday witnessed a significant presence of students from American universities. They were offered traditional Arabic coffee and dates to highlight the hospitality of Saudi Arabia. A number of American universities in Los Angeles had dedicated cinemas to screen short films produced and written by young Saudis. The screenings were attended by the president of the New York Film Academy and a number of prominent figures from the film industry. A number of Saudi filmmakers hailed the cultural event, stressing that this initiative will open new horizons for them to benefit from American filmmaking expertise.
