The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has launched the vehicle registration renewal service via Metrash2, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Information Systems, in the presence of Brigadier Mohammed Saad al-Kharji, Director-General of the General Directorate of Traffic, Brigadier Abdul Rahman al-Maliki, Assistant Director-General of the General Directorate of Information Systems, among other officials.Following the launch, Brigadier Al-Kharji affirmed the importance of e-traffic services, in general, due to their tangible effect in limiting the procedures and having individuals move from and to the General Directorate of Traffic. He hoped the public would benefit from the services provided by the General Directorate of Traffic and the other MoI department, by using Metrash2 to save them both time and effort. he new service will enable vehicle owners to complete vehicle registration (Istimara) renewal electronically through MOI e-services portal or Metrash2 mobile app and get the vehicle registration card delivered to the address they specify or collect them at Traffic Service Centres if they wish. Once the technical inspection is completed successfully and insurance of the vehicle is issued, log into Metrash2 or MOI e-services portal and select Traffic Services then choose Vehicle Registration Renewal from the listed services. Provide the vehicle plate no., choose the correct type of registration and then confirm the details provided. The registration fee can be paid electronically using a credit card for individuals and direct debit from the bank account for companies. All types of vehicles including private, government, and companies can be renewed using this service and it works 24/7. Apart from this, there are a number other services provided by Traffic Directorate via Metrash2 and MOI E-services portal.;
