The Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen declared on Monday that it had destroyed several ballistic missile platforms that were used by the Iran-backed Houthi militias. Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said during a press conference that the majority of the platforms are located in Yemen’s Saada province. A total of 119 ballistic missiles were fired at Saudi Arabia, he told a press conference. He also confirmed that the Houthis had launched a drone towards Saudi Arabia’s Abha airport. It was later shot down by the Kingdom’s air defenses. In Yemen, Malki said that the Houthis have transformed Sanaa airport into a military barracks. A drone was also launched from the city, he revealed without disclosing details. Furthermore, he said that a total of 737 Houthi positions have been destroyed in Yemen. On the ground, the Yemeni army succeeded in completely liberating the city of Midi from Houthi control, while operations are ongoing to rid al-Jawf of the militias, said Malki.
