The National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) confirmed that efforts are underway to launch privatization and partnership opportunities between the private and public sectors in ten sectors that are a target for privatization within Saudi Vision 2030. These significant opportunities and partnerships are directly supported by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and President of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. NCP pointed out that the supervision committee of the health sector has concluded its study pertaining to the sector. It suggested launching nine fields for partnering with the private sector in the health centers. The study included a government program to purchase health services and insurance for citizens. Turki Abdulaziz al-Hokail, CEO of the NCP, affirmed during a previous statement to Asharq Al-Awsat that the privatization processes would contribute to the development of the national economy and the increase of the Kingdom’s competency on the international level. Privatization would improve efficiency and productivity, internally, allowing the Kingdom to employ all material and human resources, he added. NCP is committed to perform its mission and create an environment that allows the private sector to expand through active and sustainable contribution to national economy, he stressed. The NCP was established through the Council of Ministers Resolution and reports directly to the Council for Economic and Developmental Affairs (CEDA).
