Police gave no details on age, gender or possible motive Police said on Twitter that it was "too early to confirm the number of pedestrians struck or their injuries." Officers were called to the scene at 1:27 pm (1727 GMT), Canadian police said, without specifying whether or not the incident was deliberate. Police spokeswoman Meaghan Gray said the van apparently jumped the curb, but the reason is not yet known.
