LONDON: Moroccan police announced Tuesday the arrest of three Moroccans with links to Daesh in the north of the country. The three are allegedly part of a terror cell of five militants active in Morocco and Bilbao in Spain. The Spanish police arrested two suspects, a Moroccan and a Senegalese, who have been actively supporting Daesh and violent extremism on social media Police in both countries said that the suspects have links to militants in conflict zones and that they have been promoting an extremist narrative and praising violent attacks carried out by Daesh. The police said that the five, four Moroccans and one Senegalese, have also been actively trying to recruit young people and encouraging them to carry out violent attacks in the name of Daesh.
