Saudi social media influencers shine at Cosmopolitan Middle East awards

CAIRO: Saudi social media stars dazzled at the very first Cosmopolitan Middle East Influencer Awards in Dubai, which celebrated the region’s most popular influencers. Two Saudi social media stars were awarded at the event which took place on Monday night. The awards recognized the Middle East’s best influencers, bloggers, vloggers and entrepreneurs, based on votes by 150,000 readers from the region. Among the winners was Saudi-Lebanese social media star Alanoud Badr, aka Lady Fozaza, who won in the Best Fashion Influencer category. The well-heeled star has more than 600,000 followers across various social media platforms and inspires her audiences with her curated styles and self-designed clothing line.Saudi Arabia-based influencer Yousef Sudais (@jo0sef) won the Best Travel Influencer award. He is a daring globe-trotter who travels the world entertaining his followers. The awards also shortlisted Dubai-based fashion enthusiast and trend-setter Dana Hourani, along with Kuwaiti Fouz Al-Fahad, a beauty lover who regularly treats her followers to make-up tutorials. Kuwaiti make-up artist and Instagram sensation Sondos Alqattan, who has grown to become one of the most regional hijab-wearing influencers, was also shortlisted for an award.
