The deployment of Coalition Joint Forces in the Yemeni Island of Socotra comes in line with efforts to support the legitimacy and as part of the ongoing coordination between Coalition forces and Yemens legitimate government, informed sources said. Saudi forces arrived in Socotra to train and support Yemeni legitimate forces, as well as train Yemeni units to combat terrorism, the sources said. They indicated that the deployment of joint forces of the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia in the island has been coordinated with the Yemeni legitimate government. Spokesman for the Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen Colonel Turki al-Maliki had said earlier that there are some differences in viewpoints between the local government and the UAE forces on ways to deal with some issues on the island. He added that they agreed on a mechanism for comprehensive coordination between the Coalition and the Yemeni government. On Sunday, Prime Minister Ahmed bin Daghr received Saudi members of the bilateral Yemeni-Saudi committee in charge of normalizing the situation in Socotra. "The Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia is the safety valve of the Arab world and will remain strong to protect its security and stability. We will work together in the face of the Houthi coup and the Iranian agenda that threatens the security of Yemen, the Arab world and the whole region," bin Daghr was quoted by Saba News as saying. The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in supporting the Yemeni government and people in these difficult circumstances.
