Saudi air defense detected on Monday a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards the Kingdom. Arab Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the rocket was fired from Yemen’s Saada region towards the Jizan area. He said that it was deliberately launched towards uninhabited areas, but the missile crashed in an unpopulated desert region. Maliki condemned the hostile Houthis act, saying that it was a clear and blatant violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2231.
