Prior to becoming Jeddah governor in 1997, Prince Mishaal spent 16 years in the private sector He was born in 1957 and is the eldest son of Prince Majed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud On behalf of the governor of Makkah province, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Jeddah Governor Prince Mishaal bin Majed honored the junior winners of the memorization competition for the Holy Qur’an and Prophetic Sunnah held by the International Organization for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah affiliated to the Muslim World League. The event was attended by the secretary-general of the International Organization for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah Abdullah bin Ali Basfar and a number of diplomats at the Hyatt Park Hotel, Jeddah. During the ceremony, Prince Mishaal was briefed on the achievements made by the organization and inaugurated its website. Prior to becoming Jeddah governor in 1997, Prince Mishaal spent 16 years in the private sector. Frequently seen publicly around Jeddah attending openings and ceremonies, Prince Mishaal appears approachable and engaged. He was born in 1957 and is the eldest son of Prince Majed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. Prince Mishaal was educated in Saudi Arabia and is a graduate of King Saud University with a degree in business and public administration. He has been a member of the Allegiance Council since 2007. He is president of the governing council of the assembly and president of the Social Development Forum that attempts to address the role of voluntary social work and the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting social development. He is also the board chairman of the Society of Majid bin Abdul Aziz for Development and Social Services.
