The four were convicted of a string of terror offences All crimes were connected to Iran"s Revolutionary Guard JEDDAH: The Specialized Criminal Court has issued preliminary death sentences against four people who formed a terrorist cell to communicate with Iran and receive training in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps camps. Training included the use of weapons, explosives, street fighting and camouflage to mislead security authorities. The cell recruited people and facilitated their trips to Iran through a tourism office owned by one of the cell members. Recruits then joined the training camps where they were taught about weapons, explosives and military sciences. They also set plans to form terrorist cells inside the Kingdom to disturb its unity and stability. The cells assembled explosives to detonate them inside the Kingdom and plotted to assassinate some prominent figures. The decision was made unanimously by the three judges of the Judicial Branch. They also ordered the closing of the tourism office and the withdrawal of its license. The defendants were made aware of their right to appeal the decision within 30 days from the day of the receipt. If they do not, the verdicts shall be final and enforceable.
