A Saudi-UAE partnership strategy, dubbed the “Strategy of Resolve,” was introduced as a hub for global economic strength on Thursday. Combining bilateral expertise and cutting down red tape measures is said to capitalize on the enormous potential of both countries. Strategy of Resolve aims to create an exceptional model of integration and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the UAE through implementing a package of joint strategic projects. It outlines three main axes: the economic axis, the human and knowledge axis, and the political, security and military axis. The Riyadh-Abu Dhabi partnership is a new base for reconstructing a regional system and boosting regional economies through adhering to principles of cohesion and participation of the two largest Arab economies. It also offers a new impetus to Gulf and Arab realities and global economic forces. The Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council between the two countries presents an ideal model for bilateral cooperation and promoting integration between different sectors. At the council’s 1st meeting, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, a roadmap for political, economic and security integration was lain out. The leaders of the two countries have set a timeframe of 60 months to implement the strategic projects aimed at building an exceptional model between UAE and Saudi Arabia which supports the works of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The outlined roadmap covers the upcoming five years. Achievements in fields of economy, human development, political and military security integration, further consultation and coordination were also discussed. Promoting joint cooperation was also among the chief topics discussed. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, through the Coordination Council, seek to highlight the stature upheld by both countries in the areas of economy, human development, political and military security integration. More so, the Saudi-UAE strategy aims to create an exceptional model of integration and cooperation between the two countries through the implementation of joint strategic projects for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the two countries. The strategy comprises three main axes: economic, human and knowledge, political, security and military, as well as 44 joint projects out of 175 total initiatives. Both the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia share a solid political and economic partnership and deep-rooted ties between their people. The establishment of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council aims to maintain and further enhance these ties. The two countries economies are worth one trillion dollars (the largest in the Middle East), and their exports make them one of the top ten exports in the world, with a value of more than $700 billion. The volume of non-oil trade between the two countries is worth $24 billion, while imports totaled nearly $550 billion.
