Germany: 38% of Bosses Allow Employees to Watch World Cup at Work

A study conducted by the German University of Hohenheim found that 38 percent of German employers allow their employees to watch Russia World Cup matches at work. The study revealed a rise of four percentage points in the number of bosses who allow their staff to watch the games, compared to the Brazil World Cup 2014. In a related context, 57 percent of bosses allow their employees to listen to World Cup games on the radio, compared to 48 percent in 2014. According to the survey, Germans are determined to keep up with the World Cup in Russia at an average rate of 16 minutes per working day, and this rate is three minutes higher than it was during the last World Cup.
