Addas has more than 16 years of experience in institutional and digital transformation, design and strategy management The board of directors of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites on Thursday appointed Abdulrahman bin Farouk Addas as CEO of the commission. Addas has more than 16 years of experience in institutional and digital transformation, design and strategy management, as well as financial consultancy, real estate development and technology investment. Addas received his bachelor degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran. He holds two master degrees in business administration and electrical engineering from Stanford University in the US. He has participated in numerous specialized training programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD. The newly appointed CEO has worked with a number of large companies and government institutions in the Middle East, South Africa and Europe. He was the CEO of Majid Al-Futtaim Holding, leading its corporate strategy and overseeing strategy alignment in all business units. He also kept tabs on investment mergers and acquisitions, and capital shares used in the overall development and innovation of the group’s operations and customer experience. Additionally, Addas led the group’s programs for technical and digital transformation to enhance its future capabilities. He previously worked for Goldman Sachs Group and Booz Allen Hamilton before becoming a partner at Bain & Company in the Middle East, leading its operations in Saudi Arabia. He was a key member of the global communications, media and technology-consulting firm.
