Jordanian FM: The security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is part and parcel of the security and stability of the Kingdom of Jordan. AMMAN: A senior Jordanian source told Al-Arabiya channel on Friday that his country will not appoint a new ambassador to Iran. Jordan withdrew its ambassador from Tehran more than a year ago, in protest at continued Iranian interference in the affairs of Arab countries. “There is no intention to name a new Jordanian ambassador in Tehran at the moment,” the source told Al-Arabiya. Earlier, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stressed that “the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is part and parcel of the security and stability of the Kingdom of Jordan.” The Jordanian foreign minister reiterated Jordan’s position that rejects Iranian interference in the internal affairs of neighboring Arab countries reminding everyone that Amman represents a security safeguard for Saudi Arabia, in the same way that Riyadh constitutes a strategic safeguard for Jordan’s security and stability. Safadi stressed that “both countries will stand together to address all threats to the security and stability of our countries.”
