The Arab Coalition on Monday said its forces killed eight members of Lebanons “Hezbollah” in battles with Houthi insurgents in northern Yemen. "The coalition killed 41 terrorist elements in Maran and destroyed their vehicles and equipment. Among the dead were eight members from Lebanon’s Hezbollah, including a commander," Coalition Spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a statement. Maran is in Saada province. The Yemeni army also arrested a Houthi commander and seven "Hezbollah" experts in Saada. A military source told “September Net” website, the mouthpiece of the Defense Ministry, that Yemeni forces captured the Houthi commander and the "Hezbollah" fighters during heavy clashes. In Hodeidah province on the Red Sea, military sources said there were fierce battles near the University of Hodeidah, three kilometers west of the city’s downtown on the coastal road which links the airport with the port. The Houthis are deploying more fighters in the city and continue to set earth mounds in al-Rabsa street near the university, the sources said. The battles have left hundreds of casualties among Houthi militias, they added.
