We have prepared a comprehensive plan in coordination with KSRelief to distribute this relief aid to the people of Hodeidah: Yemeni minister JEDDAH: The first Saudi aid airlift sent by the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Center (KSRelief) arrived in Aden on Tuesday to provide urgent aid to the people of Hodeidah. The two relief planes carrying 70 tons of shelter and food aid, as well as a specialized team from KSRelief, were received by Yemen’s Minister of Local Administration and Chairman of the Higher Relief Committee, Abdel-Raqib Fath, and Hodeidah Gov. Al-Hassan Taher. Fath thanked King Salman for the Kingdom’s efforts, represented by KSRelief. He pointed out that a few days ago KSRelief had dispatched a 45-vehicle aid convoy to Hodeidah by land. Fath highlighted that the marine aid bridge to Hodeidah is set to run soon. “We have prepared a comprehensive plan in coordination with KSRelief to distribute this relief aid to the people of Hodeidah,” he added. On Tuesday, KSRelief signed a joint cooperation agreement with the International Civil Defense Organization of Russia. It aims to set a mechanism for the joint inclusive cooperation in protecting people from man-made natural disasters, exchanging information and coordinating relief and humanitarian projects in needy countries around the world. The agreement was signed by Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, supervisor-general of KSRelief, and the organization’s Secretary-General Dr. Vladimir Kuvshinov. Earlier, the President of the National Society for Human Rights, Dr. Mofaleh bin Rabian Al-Qahtani, called on international and humanitarian organizations to support the efforts of KSRelief in providing assistance to the Yemeni people, especially in assisting in mine clearance and delivery of relief materials to those who are entitled to it.
