Yemen’s historic Zabid city, south of Hodeidah, is now the next target of the legitimate forces in their advance on the Iran-backed Houthi militias after their liberation of Tahita. The legitimate forces, backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition, continued their advance in the Zabid valley region on the outskirts of the city. Despite their mounting losses, the Houthis continued their crimes against the Yemeni people, blowing up Tahita’s main water tank. The residents pleaded with the legitimate forces to help them overcome the ensuing water crisis. A source from the popular resistance confirmed to Asharq Al-Awsat the legitimate forces’ advance in their battles on the western and southern Hodeidah coasts. They are continuing to cleanse liberated areas from remaining Houthi members. Coalition jets struck Houthi positions and movements in Wadi Raman, it added. In Tahita, activists published the names of so-called “traitors”, who facilitated the Houthis’ takeover of the region and allowed them to blow up the main water tank. West of Taiz, the legitimate forces forces advanced on the Maqbana front, liberating several strategic positions from Houthi clutches. They also seized new positions in Ktaf region in the Saada province, the Houthi stronghold. Brigade 84, commander by Raddad al-Hashemi, liberated the al-Zour and al-Khashbaa mountain range in Saada, cutting off militia supply lines, reported the September.net website. Clashes there left ten Houthis dead and several wounded, while others fled the battle. The legitimate forces seized various types of weapons amid the ongoing clashes. The Arab coalition stressed that the legitimate forces continued their advance on all battlefronts over the past three days, dealing the militias heavy losses. Some 341 Houthis were killed in the past 72 hours.
