King Salman, Crown Prince Hold Talks with South Africa President

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks in Jeddah on Thursday with South African President Syril Ramaphosa, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). They discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the Kingdom and South Africa in all fields. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments. The talks were attended by a number of princes and senior officials, as well as the official delegation accompanying South African president. Ramaphosa later held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Separately, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Military Industries Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb held talks in Jeddah with South African Minister of Defense Nosiviwe Mapis-Nqakula and accompanying military veterans. Khateeb told SPA that the meeting tackled cooperation in the field of military industries. A plan was set in place for cooperation in developing the industry of advanced defense military systems, he revealed. The meetings and discussions between the two sides will continue in order to implement a joint program aimed at transferring and nationalizing military industries in the Kingdom according to Vision 2030. Earlier, King Salman had thrown a luncheon banquet in honor of Ramaphosa and his accompanying delegation.
