Saudi Arabia has confirmed its willingness to implement health projects in all Yemeni governorates. Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and Isnad CEO Mohammed Al Jaber explained that his country is also ready to rehabilitate hospitals in a number of governorates and train Yemeni medical staff and provide them with expertise in coordination with the Yemeni Ministry of Health and relevant authorities in the Yemeni government. Al Jaber reiterated that the Kingdom pays special attention to the Yemenis in light of the circumstances faced by their country. He said that Riyadh will continue to support the Yemeni government and people in all fields within the framework of fraternity, neighborliness and common destiny. Notably, Isnad Center was established with the purpose of implementing a comprehensive humanitarian operation throughout Yemen. On the other hand, Minister of Public Health and Population, Nasser Mohsen Baoom discussed with Al Jaber, who also heads the Saudi reconstruction program, the needs of the health sector, including rehabilitation and development projects, to improve the services provided to Yemenis, Saba news agency reported. The two parties discussed during their meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday the possibility of rehabilitating Ataq Hospital in Shabwa, Dhubab Hospital in Taiz and Aden Public Hospital, as well as rehabilitating and equipping Intensive Care rooms, emergency centers and operation rooms in a number of Yemeni hospitals within the Saudi program for reconstruction in Yemen. They also discussed training Yemeni health cadres on medical improved skills inside Saudi Arabia and forming committees to prepare technical studies in order to build hospitals in a number of Yemeni governorates and submit the projects to be funded. Baom valued Saudi Arabia’s support of the health sector in Yemen and its active contribution in providing health support to Yemeni injured and sick people.
