The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen condemned on Monday the Iran-backed Houthi militias for tampering with the capabilities of Yemen and marginalizing the segments of its society, reported the Saudi Press Agency. Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki stressed that the violations committed by the Houthis are clear to see by all. There is a public rejection of the sabotage and sectarian acts being committed by the militias, he stated during a press conference that was attended by several leaders of tribes from Yemen’s Saada region. Sheikh Abdulkhaliq Bishr said that despite more than a decade and a half of conflict with the Iranian militias, the people of Saada are presenting all forms of sacrifices. Saada is persevering to maintain its Arab identity and reject Iranian interference, he stressed. He paid tribute to the heroes of the Yemeni National Army and the supporting forces of the coalition forces for their sacrifices. He urged the legitimate elected government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, as well as the Arab coalition, to continue the battle to liberate Saada and the whole of Yemen. Maliki said that Gen. Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Joint Forces, had met with the Saada tribal leaders to set up a mechanism for communication with the joint forces.
