Saudi ministry launches blood drive for soldiers stationed on southern border

RIYADH: The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh inaugurated a blood donation campaign for Saudi soldiers stationed in the southern border on Sunday. The drive, organized by the ministry in cooperation with Prince Sultan Medical City, was held at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh and will continue for four days. He said: “This campaign is the least we can do to support our heroes, who we take pride in for all their patience and courage, and their duty in defending the security and borders of our country and our holy places. They embody the sacrifices and dedications that is appreciated by the Saudi people.” . The campaign, which was launched by the Ministry of Education in all branches of the Ministry in various regions of the Kingdom, comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness on these Islamic and humanitarian works. Our brave soldiers stationed on the border who have vowed to defend this holy country and its holy sites. The campaign will be regularly held in the ministry’s branches throughout the Kingdom and falls in line with the ministry’s keenness to promote Islamic and humanitarian works, according to Sharia. The campaign is aimed at strengthening compassion, solidarity, cooperation and a sense of responsibility for society.
