The Watani app measures user satisfaction with 28,000 service centers providing 80,000 services throughout Saudi Arabia It is available for iPhone and Android devices RIYADH: A smartphone app has been launched by the National Center of Performance Measurement (ADAA) to measure user satisfaction with services provided by the government’s public centers. Watani — available for iPhone and Android devices — will measure user satisfaction with 28,000 service centers providing 80,000 services, and covering 1,150 cities and towns in Saudi Arabia. The app allows users to evaluate public centers’ performance, allowing them to submit their remarks and suggestions to enhance the quality of services provided. Husameddin Al-Madani, ADAA director general, said: “The application will work as a data collection tool that will feed into the measuring process that we have implemented to measure beneficiaries’ experience and satisfaction. Access to this type of data will help us amplify the voice of communities to improve public performance.” Watani also allows users to locate the nearest service center, find which ones are most highly rated and see reviews of the service centers and the services that they provide. The app sends notifications to users inviting them to participate on satisfaction surveys. The application supports the Vision 2030 objectives of capitalizing on Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure, transparency, and consistency in performance. Public sector bodies have a duty to use technology to drive growth in an economical way, issuing digital programs that focus on user experience, and promote the Kingdom’s high service standards. Efficient public sector services are essential to the creation of a thriving economy because they contributes to labor productivity, enhance service quality and support business startups and expansions.
