A Palestinian was sentenced to life in jail with hard labor after he was indicted in Lebanon for supplying weapons and military gear to the ISIS terrorist group in the country. The Permanent Military Tribunal also accused him of recruiting members for the terror group. Khaled Mohammed Masaad confessed to his crime, revealing that he was in contact with the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, Sarajeddine Zureiqat and the emir of the “Jund al-Sham” group, Sheikh Ossam al-Chehabi. The detainee had received training on building explosives and was tasked by ISIS member, Abou Ayyoub al-Iraqi, to form cells in the Ain el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon in coordination with the group’s operative there Imad Yassine. Moreover, Masaad was tasked with carrying out assassinations against Lebanese security forces and soldiers, as well as “Hezbollah” party officials. He was also tasked with bombing various targets in Lebanon, such as Al-Saha restaurant, the Our Lady of Lebanon shrine in Harissa and the Iranian and Russian embassies.
