The Saudi armed forces will hold next week joint exercises with the US military, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday. The Prevention Shield 2 drills will be held with the participation of the Ministry of Health and Civil Defense. They will take place at the Prince Sultan Airbase, central military sector. The exercise is aimed at providing the highest degree of coordination and training to military and related government bodies on how to manage a crisis resulting from the use of weapons of mass destruction. The drills are part of Defense Ministry efforts to train all military sectors within the annual plan, which also aims to strengthen cooperation and relations with friendly forces, exchange experiences, develop skills and highlight the capabilities, professionalism and readiness of the armed forces.
