Arab Coalition Jets Target Houthi Positions in Yemen’s Marib

Saudi-led Arab coalition jets struck on Tuesday positions of the Iran-backed Houthi militias in the Sirwah district in Yemen’s Marib province. A field source told the September.net website that the jets targeted militia reinforcements that were making their way to the battlefront. A number of military vehicles were destroyed and a number of Houthis were killed and wounded in the strike. In the Saada province, the national army shelled heavily militias positions in the western Baqem district. A field commander, Kanaan al-Ahsab told September.net that a Houthi arms depot was targeted and destroyed in the artillery shelling. Coalition jets also struck militia reinforcement in Baqem. In addition, Ahsab revealed that specialized teams managed to dismantle numerous landmines and explosives that were planted by the Houthis in various neighborhoods in eastern Baqem in their desperate attempt to hinder the army’s advance.
