At least six people were wounded on Wednesday in a suicide bombing at a restaurant near the Iraqi city of Tikrit, police and medical sources said. Police said the attacker targeted the Qala’a restaurant which is usually frequented by security forces members and paramilitary fighters. Forty-two people were injured in the attack. Most of the casualties were a group of Iraqi tourists traveling on board of a bus that stopped by the restaurant, police and medical source said. Medical sources said women and children were among those wounded. No group has claimed responsibility, but ISIS often carries out such attacks. Suspected ISIS members planted the bomb in a pickup left outside the restaurant by an important, a police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity. The restaurant had already been attacked by two suicide bombers in the spring, he added.
