Saudi scouts take part in World Scout Jamboree

JEDDAH: The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association took part in the World Scout Jamboree Jota 61 on the Air and Joti 22 on the internet, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The association, which participated for the 14th year in a row in this global scout event, prepared for the Jamboree by setting up a radio station in its headquarters of the association in Riyadh, along with more than 700 participants from several stations in different regions and governorates of the Kingdom. Recently, Saudi scouts participated in the 12th Arab Scout Jamboree for Environmental Activities of Arab Scout Associations in Sudan. SASA has been helping Hajj pilgrims for 47 years, adapting along the way to keep up with changing times and making use of new technologies. The Saudi association joined the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1963 and hosted the Arab Jamboree in Taif in 2000. There are 50 million Scouts in the world and 28 million of them are Muslim.
