RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman presided over the first meeting of a committee to restructure the command of the general intelligence agency, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Thursday. The committee reviewed the plan for reform which included an assessment of the current situation in light of best practices, and the identification of gaps, especially with regard to areas such as the organizational structure of the General Intelligence Presidency, legal frameworks and regulations, and policies, procedures and governance. The committee will continue to meet until its work is completed.
