Saudi Arabia’s media minister meets with Pakistani delegation in Riyadh

The media delegation from Pakistan is on a visit around the Kingdom During the meeting, both parties confirmed the solid relations between the two countries ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Pakistani media is visiting Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) these the days, and met with Kingdom’s Media Minister Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad on Sunday in Riyadh. Pakistani media delegation admitted that there are solid relations between Pakistan and Kingdom and “affirmed their stance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against the current hostile media campaign,” Saudi Press agency (SPA) reported. Dr. Al-Awwad stressed that the Saudi leadership enhances the historical and friendly relations between the two countries, and supports the mutual interests. Pakistani delegation also visited the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition’s (IMCTC) on Sunday. “The delegation was briefed on IMCTC’s domains and initiatives in the fight against terrorism,” the IMCTC said in tweet. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoys the deep religious, political, and strategic ties and both the countries are engaged to further deepen these ties. Last month on 17 October Fawad Chadhry, Pakistan’s federal minister for Information and Broadcasting in, met with Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki the ambassador of SaudiArabia in Islamabad and discussed ways to boost cooperation in the field of media and art. Earlier in the first week of September, this year, Saudi Arabia’s Miniter Minister Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad visited Pakistan and met with the country’s top leader civilian leadership including Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. During that visit the Saudi Information Minister also met his Pakistani counterpart Fawad Chaudhry and had discuss ways how the two allies could further broaden and deepen their relationship in these areas.
