JEDDAH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) on Saturday delivered 1,600 cartons of dates in Yemen’s Dhale governorate benefiting 9,600 people. KSRelief, since its establishment on May 13, 2015, has implemented 482 projects at a cost of about $2 billion in 42 countries. Yemen, due to its great importance to the Kingdom and its people, has had the largest share of the center’s projects and its support in the areas of food security, health, shelter, social support and protection, which amounted to 294 projects at a cost of $1.66 billion. Recently, the center organized a special outing for former child soldiers who were forcibly recruited by the Houthi militias in Yemen. “The center sponsored a cultural field trip for 27 former child soldiers, who visited local historical sites and several farms in the Marib,” the center said.
