Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir held a press conference on Thursday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on the Saudi Public Prosecution’s investigation into Jamal Khashoggi’s death. Jubeir said during the conference that the "Saudi Public Prosecution is still seeking answers to a number of inquiries” and stressed the kingdoms rejection of any attempt to politicize the Khashoggi case. The FM said Saudi Arabia is being subjected to “a vicious and illogical attack” rejecting the International meddling of the Khashoggi case, confirming that the kingdom has "an independent and effective judiciary.” He said Qatari media was running an organized campaign against the kingdom by exploiting the case of Khashoggi. Jubeir further said that the accused and the victim in this case are Saudi nationals and reassured that the government is committed to holding those involved in the case accountable. Jubeir said that the Saudi Crown prince has nothing to do with Khashoggis death case and noted that there is difference between punishing those accused and holding Saudi Arabia responsible. On another hand, Jubeir said the Khashoggi case will not change the kingdom’s policies in the face of terrorism or Iran.
