Turkish police arrested 12 suspected ISIS militants, reported state news agency Anadolu on Wednesday. It said that suspects, including two women who are wanted in France, were detained during police raids in the northwestern province of Bursa earlier this week. The group includes French citizens of Syrian or Algerian descent who settled in Bursa after allegedly carrying out unspecified "acts" on behalf of ISIS in Syria, the news agency said according to The Associated Press. Anadolu reported that five of the suspects will be deported. Its report did not name the women sought by France. Turkish police detained dozens of suspected ISIS followers in the final days of December. ISIS claimed responsibility for a gunmans January 1, 2017 attack at an Istanbul nightclub that killed 39 people, most of them foreigners.
