US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held talks in Muscat on Monday with Sultan Qaboos of Oman. The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation and the latest regional and international developments. Pompeo is in the Middle East as part of an eight-stop tour that has so far seen him visit Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. A visit to Kuwait was cancelled due to a death in the family.
