KSA sends tons of food relief to displaced Yemenis Marib, Al Jawf and Lahij

JEDDAH:  Six trucks from the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRelief) destined for people displaced from Yemen’s Saada to Marib governorate, on Monday arrived loaded with 1,800 food packages. The aid is the latest of 321 relief projects being operated by KSRelief for the Yemeni people. On Sunday, KSRelief distributed 1,100 food baskets to 6,600 displaced people in the Tibn area of Yemen’s Lahij region.  It also distributed 950 food baskets weighing 70 tons and 300 kilograms to the displaced in Al-Ghail Directorate in Al-Jawf governorate. A total of 102,170 food baskets are being distributed to nine Yemeni governorates as part of the Saudi aid initiative. The number of aid projects so far implemented by the center to support the Yemeni people has reached 301. KSRelief offers a range of services to Yemeni and Syrian people, including health care and free medicine. In December last year, it sent heating fuel and gas cylinders to 9,347 displaced people in northern Syria. Fuel was given to 4,781 individuals in and around Arima and Al-Bab, while an additional 82,600 liters of diesel was distributed to 826 families in the region.
