Grand mufti, senior scholars call on Saudi King Salman

The grand mufti, senior scholars, senior princes and a group of citizens called on King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday.  The reception began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. A number of senior ministers and top officials attended the meeting.  Prince Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz bin Turki, Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz and a number of senior princes were also present.  On Monday, the king and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent cables of congratulations to President Bidya Devi Bhandari of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on the anniversary of her country’s Democracy Day. King Salman and the crown prince wished the president good health and happiness and steady progress and prosperity for the people of her country. Saudi Arabia and Nepal enjoy cordial ties. Saudi Arabia has supported Nepal in various infrastructure projects. The Saudi Fund for Development also extended extensive support to the country for the East-West Highway of Nepal project as well as the Bagmati I and II Irrigation Project. Economic cooperation between the two countries began in 1978.
