The Saudi-Indian Joint Business Council met in New Delhi on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the President of the Council of Saudi Chambers Dr. Sami Al-Obaidi and the participation of a number of Saudi and Indian businessmen, reported the Saudi Press Agency. The meeting aims at discussing the Saudi-Indian trade and investment opportunities, creating new paths for economic cooperation and achieving qualitative leaps for long-term economic partnerships. The forum discussed the agenda of the Saudi and Indian councils for the next period in the business and industry, as well as ways of coordinating mutual visits between the two countries to address investment, in the oil, gas, tourism, minerals, health care, information technology and infrastructure sectors. The meeting is part of the activities organized by the delegation of the Council of Saudi Chambers participating in the Saudi-Indian Forum held in New Delhi, which was organized by the General Investment Authority in cooperation with the Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the visit by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to India.
