Yemens "Rasd Coalition" for Monitoring Human Rights Violations reported Houthi crimes against civilians in Hajour, Hajjah Province, according to SABA news agency. The Executive Director of the Alliance Mutahar al-Bathaji said that what has been happening for weeks in Hajour requires the Human Rights Councils attention to apprehend the size of the catastrophe and danger of the systematic violations against civilians. He delivered the statement at the Council on the sidelines of the 40th session being held in Geneva. "At this moment, Houthis are barbarically destroying this area, leaving a number of victims among civilians, mainly women, children and the elderly," he said, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) "The militia is besieging the area for banning civilians relocation to less dangerous areas, the same scenario the militia has been applying in Taiz for four years." He added that the insurgents have not yet taken a step forward in implementing the Stockholm Agreement struck between Yemens legitimate government and the Houthis in December. Human rights violations have doubled in Yemen recently as 11,267 people have been killed and 23,759 others wounded, mainly children and women, Bathaji pointed out. He further held Houthi militias responsible for these violations.
