A high-profile Saudi economic delegation kicked off on Wednesday an official two-day visit to Iraq, reported the Saudi Press Agency. The seven-minister delegation was received at Baghdad International Airport by a number of Iraqi ministers and senior officials. The Kingdom’s delegation includes Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdurrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Media Turki Al-Shabanah and Minister of State for Arab Gulf Affairs Thamer Al-Subhan. It also includes representatives of other government ministries and giant companies, as well as a number of businessmen and economic and cultural figures. The second Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council will be held during the visit. The meeting will focus on bilateral cooperation and seek to consolidate strategic partnership in all fields. Saudi and Iraqi officials will sign a number of memoranda of understanding on bilateral cooperation in various fields. The Saudi delegation will hold meetings with Iraqi President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi. The first Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council was held in Riyadh 2017.
