Duke of Sussex Prince Harry has said that social media is more addictive than drugs and alcohol. Harry visited the Young Mens Christian Association (YMCA) in South Ealing, west London, to meet with representatives from charities concerned in young peoples mental health. The Daily Mail quoted Prince Harry as saying: "Social media is more dangerous than drugs and alcohol because it isnt regulated." “We are in an exciting time because everybody has an opportunity to actually make a real difference so that young people become less connected to their phones,” he added according to the German news agency. “They can be as connected as they want to be but they have to have a human connection as well,” he remarked. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently opened their own Instagram account. Shortly after, it attracted one million followers and counting.
