The Israeli army claimed they thwarted a stabbing attack at the Zaatara checkpoint, south of the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus. The Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian, on Saturday, saying that he attempted to carry out the attack against Israeli soldiers deployed at the checkpoint. They stated that they were able to "foil" a stabbing attack, adding that the Palestinian suspect was "neutralized." The Palestinian is a 20-year-old resident of Sanniriya village near Sebastia. According to Israels Channel 13, he was seriously injured, while other sources said he was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva for treatment.
