Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri has been appointed president of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) with the rank of minister, according to a royal decree issued on Tuesday. Al-Mansouri expressed his thanks and appreciation to King Salman and the crown prince and said that he will exert all efforts to upgrade civil aviation performance. Al-Mansouri holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah. He served as assistant to the minister of transport, undersecretary at the Ministry of Health, and an adviser to the minister of energy, industry and mineral resources. Al-Mansouri worked as vice president of financial affairs and operations at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, director of the human resources department at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center and administrative principal of international recruitment/ Saudis recruitment at Saudi Aramco. He is the founder and director of Aramco Overseas Company Limited, president of the Arabian Society for Human Resource Management (ASHRM), and a board member of the International Federation of Training and Development Organization (IFTDO). Al-Mansouri also served on a number of prominent boards, commissions and working groups.
