Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed on Thursday a drone flown by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards Najran airport, said the Saudi-led Arab coalition. Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the Houthis launched the explosives-laden drone towards the airport, which is used by thousands of people on a daily. The attack completely disregards International Humanitarian Law, he added. He stated that the Houthis deliberately direct attacks towards civilians and civilian facilities.
