JEDDAH: The Arab coalition fighting to support the internationally recognized government in Yemen said on Tuesday the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted a Houthi drone in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The drone, launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia was launched towards the populated residential area of Khamis Mushayt. Arab coalition spokesperson Col. Turki al-Maliki said that the Houthis deliberately targeted civilians and civilian installations, and that all of their targets were intercepted, destroyed and eliminated. "We affirm the continued implementation of deterrent measures against these terrorist militias and the neutralization of Houthi capabilities in strict accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules," Al-Maliki added.
