Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, who is also Governor of the Royal Commission for the Province of Al-Ula, met in Jeddah on Sunday with British Chancellor of the Exchequer Philippe Hammond. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest between Saudi Arabia and Britain in the cultural fields and Riyadh’s plans to develop the Saudi cultural sector and prospects for cooperation with international cultural institutions. The Minister of Culture also pointed to the historic relations between the two kingdoms, citing the values and principles and common interests and mutual desire to promote and develop their common objectives.
